A Lovely Weekend

I've been slacking on the blog front, so it's time to catch up a little bit. Mom and Dad were in town this week! It was my mom's first trip to California. She brought this little mug, so I am happily drinking my coffee in true knitter's style:

We spent the weekend walking all over the place, and my calves are feeling the pain today. We visited the Farmer's Market, the La Brea Tar Pits, and hiked all over Griffith Park, and the Griffith Park Observatory. We enjoyed Father's Office burgers and sweet potato fries, and had a lovely Valentine's Day dinner at Cobra and Matadors. Yummy! I'm glad you could come experience LA with me, Mom and Dad!

*Up on the top*

The clouds didn't show themselves like they were supposed to on Saturday, so we had a great day for hiking and exploring Griffith Park. It was my first time up above the city, and the views were incredible!

Boyfriend was gone for the weekend, but he made sure I had a *sweet* Valentine's day before I left. Here's what I got....well, had.

Yep, that's an empty cupcake box...delicious! That was paired with a cute cupcake necklace. I love my valentine. :)

On the knitting front, Mom had blocked this table runner I knit awhile ago for me. She had the patience to use 338 pins to block this baby! Thanks, Mom!

And here's my latest project, which has actually grown-up all the way into a finished object since this picture was taken...just needs buttons. It will be revealed hopefully later this week!

I hope your Valentine's day weekend was just as sweet!

PS - the blog had a bit of a face lift - while it was hard to abandon my signature pink, I felt it was a too distracting. Hopefully the update fits!

It sounds like you had a great visit with the parents. I am glad you had some good weather.
